A Beginner-Friendly 20-Minute Strength Routine
Starting a strength routine can be simpler than it looks. The goal of this sample plan is to make movement approachable and repeatable, with time to warm up and rest.
Begin with a warm-up
Spend three to five minutes walking in place and moving comfortably through your shoulders, hips, and ankles. Choose a pace that feels easy.
Try a short circuit
Set a timer for twelve minutes. Move through chair squats, wall push-ups, hip hinges, and a standing march at a comfortable pace. Rest whenever you need to, and focus on controlled movement rather than speed.
Cool down and reflect
Finish with a few minutes of easy walking and gentle stretching. Note how the session felt, then adjust the movements or time next time so the routine fits your current ability.
Consistency matters more than intensity. If you have a health concern, injury, or are unsure whether an exercise is right for you, check with a qualified health professional before beginning. Stop if you feel pain or unwell.
